Thank you for your enquiry to take driving tuition with PK.Motor School. We provide one-on-one training. No pick up during your lesson. We honour full 60 minutes.

You will be issued with appointment card, together with drivers record. We monitor your progress and recommend appropriate action and target dates.

The instructor will choose the level of tuition, depending on your previous experience, which includes, appraisal of your driving and mock test. An additional service we provide is to arrange your theory and driving test appointments.

We offer opportunity to take tuition from home or work.

Our objective is to provide you with a high standard of driving skills to prepare you so that you can successfully pass the driving test. You will get expert instructions on specific elements of driving skills, helping to make you a safer and more confident driver.

Although the pressure is for schools to cut costs, this usually reflects on the quality of service. However, we believe in providing a high quality of service at affordable prices, you cannot substitute quality for quantity.

Whatever the level of competence, novice to advanced; we have a course that will meet your needs.

Taxi Driver Training

• At least 18 years old to apply

• Medical check which includes an eyesight test

• Criminal Records Office (CRB)

• A current driving licence

• Licence fee

Your trainer will discuss with you your specific requirements.

What the examiner is looking for - Minimum Test Requirements:

• Accumulate no more than 9 driving faults

• Record no serious or dangerous faults

• Complete a controlled stop (1 in 3)

• 2 manoeuvres

• Cabology questions

It's important to remember that the Taxi Driving Test is not a learner driving test. The examiner will expect a higher standard to a learner driver.

You have a responsibility for the safe transportation of fare paying customers.

The practical test will last approx 35-40 minutes, depending on traffic. You will need to be aware of other road users around you at all times. Taking effective observations of the prevailing road and traffic conditions and allowing for other drivers mistakes.

You will be expected to make progress where necessary and expected to understand and comply with the traffic signs and road markings. It would be advisable to use both the 'Highway Code' and 'Driving the Essential Skills' in preparation for the taxi test.
